Data Deletion and User Control

Doc Scan – Document Scanner generally stores scanned documents, images, PDF files, OCR text, and app preferences locally on the user’s device. We do not intentionally upload your scanned documents or personal files to our own server.

Users can delete their local data in the following ways:

  • Delete scanned documents, images, and PDF files from within the App, if the delete option is available.
  • Delete exported PDF files or images manually from the device file manager/gallery/storage location where they were saved.
  • Use Android device settings to clear app cache or app storage.

Clear Cache / Clear Storage

Users can go to their Android device settings and clear app data as per device options:

Settings > Apps > Doc Scan > Storage > Clear Cache

The Clear Cache option may remove temporary files used by the App. However, clearing cache may not delete all saved scanned documents, PDF files, or exported files.

To remove app-local data more completely, users may use:

Settings > Apps > Doc Scan > Storage > Clear Storage / Clear Data

Please note that clearing storage/app data may delete app-local files, preferences, and saved data related to the App. Files already exported or shared outside the App may need to be deleted manually by the user from device storage or from the third-party app/service where they were shared.

Uninstalling the App

Users may uninstall the App from their device at any time. Uninstalling the App may remove app-local data depending on the Android device and storage settings. Any files exported or saved outside the App folder may remain on the device and should be deleted manually by the user if needed.

Data Deletion Request

Since Doc Scan does not provide user account creation or login, we generally do not maintain user account data on our own server. If you have any questions or requests related to data deletion, you can contact us at:
